Our Summer Learning Camp students had a paws-itively wonderful time learning from the local animal shelter team!🐱🐶 Thank you for visiting D.S.E.S. and sharing the important role your organization plays in our community by caring for animals, promoting responsible pet ownership, and helping pets find loving homes.
The highlight of the day was getting to meet some adorable kittens! 🐱 Our students loved learning about animal care and had so much fun interacting with these furry friends.
A big thank you to Mrs. Carmen Ward for visiting D.S.E.S. and sharing her amazing snakes with our students! Our Bobcats enjoyed an informative and engaging presentation about reptiles, where they learned fascinating facts about these unique animals and their important role in nature.
Our Bobcats had a wonderful opportunity to learn from representatives of the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency! Students enjoyed an engaging presentation about animals native to East Tennessee and learned important tips for staying safe around water this summer.

This week we celebrated our amazing Nurse Michelle. We are so grateful for the care, compassion, and support she provides to our Bobcats each and every day! She is always ready with a Band Aid, an ice pack, a caring heart, and a comforting smile! She helps keep our students healthy, safe, and ready to learn. 🩺

Today was a special day at D.S.E.S. as we welcomed back some of our former students for their graduation walk! Seeing our former Bobcats return in their cap and gown is such a proud moment for our school family. From elementary hallways to graduation day, we love watching our students grow, succeed, and chase their dreams. 💜💛
